Emergency First Aid at Work plus Forestry - 7 Hours

Standard Emergency First aid at Work course which additionally includes extra content suitable for forestry contractors and workers (+ Forestry) working on Forestry Commission sites/contracts.

Core EFAW Content:

  • Incident assessment
  • Calling for help
  • Treatment of the unconscious casualty
  • CPR techniques
  • AED use
  • Choking
  • Treatment of bleeding
  • Contents of a first aid kit
  • Medical emergencies
  • Minor injury (cuts, splinters, minor burns)
  • Accident reporting

The Forestry Commission state the extra content should include:

  • Hypothermia
  • Lyme Disease
  • Major bleed management
  • Crush injury
  • Emergency action planning

This course requires an additional time requirement so is 7 hours in length.
