Accreditation - The First Aid Training Co-operative is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation. You can reply on our quality assured systems for the appropriate training assessment and accreditation of your course. The Co-op is also a member of the Scottish First Aid Association and operative is insured through the Association of First Aiders, whom we are also members.

Equivalence - There are currently a variety of systems to give an academic ‘level ‘ to first aid courses. Our Outdoor First Aid course is equivalent to

  • RQF (Regulated Qualification Framework) Level 3 f
  • SCQF (Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework) Level 6
  • IoL (Institute of Outdoor Learning) Level 3
  • REC (Rescue Emergency Care) Level 3

But more than that, we understand that you don't want to be stuck inside on some dreary, slide-heavy snorefest of a training session.

That's why we've specifically designed the training to be as practical, interactive and relevant as possible.

It's why the second afternoon of our 16-hour course takes place almost entirely outside.

And why around 70% of the course consists of practical activities.

So you can actually learn by doing, hone your skills there and then, out in the open, and leave with the confidence that you'll know exactly what to do when the situation arises.
