Description
The course has been developed in partnership with the Clinical Training Manager of the Scottish Ambulance Services’ Special Operations Response Team. This short course is designed to be delivered to civilians within large or high profile organisations that are likely to find themselves in the midst of a critical incident. The outcomes of the Manchester Arena Enquiry and Martyn’s Law requirements have been included.
Major Incident Management Training will describe the kinds of actions staff should be considering now, before an incident happens. It also includes basic first aid training for major incidents and life-saving trauma management. Following this, we’ll run a major multiple casualty incident scenario, which will test the learning. This scenario is based on real life incidents and our experts will debrief actions taken during the scenario and highlight key learning points and vital lessons learned through this experiential exercise.
Vitally, this package also includes a pre-course site visit, usually the day before your course, to discuss your specific needs for the training and to develop or review your emergency plans for the business premises and its operations. It is strongly recommended that at least one member of senior management team attend the training day as well, when we will send two of our senior trainers to work with you.
