This 3 hour course can be delivered as a standalone unit, or incorporated into a longer course such as First Aid at Work (3 Days), or Outdoor First Aid (2 days) Learners will be assessed during practical sessions to ensure they have attained the skills necessary.

Course Content List
- What is life threatening bleeding?
- The correct use of direct pressure
- The effective use of pressure dressings and their limitations
- The safe and effective use of Haemostatic gauze as per the ERC guidelines
- The safe and effective use of Tourniquets as per ERC guidelines
The practical session includes prosthetic models with bleeding effects so learners get to manage haemorrhage in almost real time. This session requires some private outside space.
