These 16 hour Outdoor First Aid course are held at Edinburgh International Climbing Arena (EICA) several times each year, Dates of each can be seen on our website but be sure to book early, these are really popular courses!

These courses are ideal for outdoor leaders and outdoor instructors of walking, climbing, sailing, canoeing and kayaking, mountain biking, road biking and many more outdoor adventurous activities.

First Aid Training Co-operative’s Outdoor first aid courses are specifically designed to be very hands on and practical. Ideal for those who enjoy learning in the outdoors. Much of the second day of the course is delivered outside and uses a range of carefully crafted outdoor scenarios to help candidates learn and develop their first aid skills.

Based at a climbing wall it is easy to establish the need for a good first aid protocol when dealing with climbing accidents and incidents. The course will give you the skills to deal with climbers and boulderers who have fallen badly.

After the course you can deal with those who fall off crags, are pulled out of the water of are involved in major car incidents! All of this in the context of working in outdoor remote environments.

Our first aid trainers are some of the best in the first aid training business. A variety of trainers from overseas expedition leaders, paramedics, ex-military instructors, outdoor activity coaches. All have the learning in mind when running our training because we know that ‘Quality Training Saves Lives’.
