These 16 hour first aid coursesSYFA Sports First Aid courses are a prerequisites for SFA and SYFA Club Licensing. Scottish Football Association Club Licensing includes the requirement that clubs have at least 1 person on the touchline who has Sports First Aid training with all teams, where a Chartered Physiotherapist is not present.

Our courses are taught by qualified trainers and is specifically designed as Sports First Aid. The course is scenario based and covers leg injury, head and spinal injury management plus CPR for adults and children. All our courses cover the use of AED’s.

Founded by experienced outdoor practitioners, First Aid Training Co-operative specialises in outdoor first aid.

In fact, we’ve provided more than 3,700 hours of  first aid training in the last 3 years alone, and have delivered dozens of public courses in Scotland.

And since all our trainers are experienced outdoor practitioners themselves (as well as professionally qualified teachers who easily surpass HSE Due Diligence requirements) we understand the specifics of what you really need to know.

“Very good course and amazingly instructed” – D. MacDougall

“Really informative, enjoyable and instructor very knowledgeable” – S. Young

But more than that, we understand that you don’t want to be stuck inside on some dreary, slide-heavy snorefest of a training session.
That’s why we’ve specifically designed the training to be as practical, interactive and relevant as possible.
It’s why the second afternoon of our 16-hour course takes place almost entirely on the sports field.
And why around 70% of the course consists of practical activities.
So you can actually learn by doing, hone your skills there and then, out in the open, and leave with the confidence that you’ll know exactly what to do when the situation arises.
Perhaps that’s why we frequently receive comments like this:

“Most engaging and practical programme done in a long time. Great Delivery, superb humor and realistic approach to the topic. Pace was appropriate, nice pragmatic view of the content. Great fun, many thanks.” – R. Harrison
