About Dr Alistair Morris, First Aid Conference speaker

We are honoured to be able to confirm that Dr Alistair Morris will be speaking out at our First Aid Conference in Carlisle on 8th March, 2024.

Dr Morris is Medical Director for Mountain Rescue England and Wales. He has over 40 years of outdoor experience including walking, running, climbing, caving, mountaineering, expedition cycling and adventure racing and is an active member of the Calder Valley Mountain Rescue team. 

Dr. Morris is a consultant paediatrician with a particular interest in emergency and ambulatory care and medical education. He is a Trustee of NICHE International – the Newborn, Infant and Child Health Education charity. He runs and cycles competitively and has been known to climb Mount Cameroon in a day between 2 Neonatal Care Courses!

Alistair will be talking to us about good practice for first aiders in handing over to secondary care teams. How should you monitor and prepare your casualty in preparation for handing over to Mountain Rescue or Paramedics?
