Dr Niall Elliott MBE is the Chief Medical Officer of the British Olympic Association and Head of Sports Medicine at the Scottish Institute of Sport.
We are delighted to announce that Dr Elliott will be presenting on Concussion Guidance in Sport. With a plethora of new research and resultant guidance for concussion in sport, this is a great opportunity to hear about assessing and managing concussion from a well respected expert in the field.
Niall has 20 years’ experience of working in sport – from grassroots rugby and ice hockey to multiple summer and winter Olympic Games with Team GB.
Dr Elliott’s day job is managing the health and wellbeing of elite athletes, working closely with the wider sport performance teams which include healthcare colleagues (physiotherapists, psychologists, hospital specialists), physical preparation coaches, sport-specific coaches and the numerous levels of management.Â
Having crisscrossed the globe to support thousands of athletes, Dr Elliott brings a wealth of experience to the First Aid Conference. In 2023, his remarkable contributions were recognised with an MBE, a testament to his unwavering dedication and impact in the realm of sports medicine.
